A little background of my US Nursing journey/ my ultimate American dream:


January 6, 2019- Passed NCLEX-RN under NY State

August 30, 2020- Hired by CommuniCare through WWHS (Worldwide Health Staff Solutions)

November 2, 2020- Started VisaScreen

November 6, 2020-  ETA9089 Signed and mailed

November 21,2020 - Took IELTS via IDP

December 3, 2020 - IELTS result (Speaking 6.5) remarking done

January 6, 2021 - IELTS Score in writing and speaking increased to 7.0

January 21, 2021- VisaScreen certified

February 4, 2021 - Priority Date (PD) I-140 (premium processing) filed 

February 10, 2021 - PD approved

February 25, 2021 - Case was sent to department of stat

March 11, 2021- Fee bill issued

April 28, 2021- Ohio nursing license endorsement started

May 3, 2021- Ds260 submitted

May 11, 2021- Documentarily Qualified (DQ) 

May 26, 2021- Requested for expedite interview

July 15, 2021- Expedite request denied

October 13, 2021- NVC interview letter received

November 14, 2021- Medical done

November 16, 2021- Embassy interview completed

December 8, 2021- Visa issued

January 13, 2022- Ohio license endorsement approved

March 25, 2022- Arrived in the USA ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ 

April 13, 2022- SSN received



It took me 3+ years from passing my NCLEX Exam up to the day I touched down in the United States of America. It was not an easy journey, there were a lot of sleepless nights and stressful days, but I tell you, it was all worth it. ❤️






P. S. I am still waiting for my orientation date for my new workplace. I am still on the process of getting the basics: a bank account, an apartment, and a car among others. This experience is a work in progress. ๐Ÿ› ️
